Bobby D's Blog - Quest Date -7

Another week down which means another week closer to starting the Quest. I met up with Guido the Killer Ticket Scalper again this past week to "score" tickets to the games in San Diego, Los Angeles and Anaheim. Guido says hi and will be a guest blogger in the future.

Kind of a slow news week Quest wise so here are some random observations:

1. I hate, hate, hate those stupid login screens that pop up when you buy tickets on Ticketmaster. You either have to type in numbers, random letters or 2 words. And the words are never anything cool - if I was the programmer I would have so much fun with that. Just think of all the fun - you could program it to say stuff like "Richard Cranium" or "Mike Hunt" or my favorite - "Andy F McRae is a Cheater".

2. Wonder how Elvis feels that his most famous song for now is "Viva Viagra"? And if you got a 4 hour erection - are you really consulting a doctor or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders?

3. NASCAR - said like Jerry Seinfeld when he said "Newman".

4. I think the "g" sticking on the keyboard is the worst key to stick. Riht now I am rillin a bi ass steak.

5. It is amazing that the new Yankee Stadium cost 1 billion dollars to build - said with a pinky next to my mouth in my best Dr. Evil. On that note - check out this week's poll - It has to do with the best ever film trilogy - Austin Powers.

Well that's it for now. This is the most exciting line of this blog - the next blog will be Quest Date 1. Check back next Sunday for my New Yankee Stadium observations.

The home office in Libertyville, IL has had a few suggestions for the closing line - but none that are up to my standards (ike I have standards). So for now, it's good bye - so long from Fremont, NH where my bi steak is a sizzlin.

Bobby D's Blog - Quest Date - 14

Well another week closer to starting the Quest. I am feeling a bit like Doogie Howser right now - at the end of each episode as he typed into his journal on a blue screen, well here I am typing onto a blue screen - so for this week just call me Doogie DeVries.

First off I would like to thank Andy "F" McRae for hijacking the (almost) weekly poll. In typical Red Sox fashion Andy made sure all his peeps got onto the site and voted for the Sox. Now I am from Chicago and know the vurtues of the "vote early, vote often" policy but even I didn't hijack the results.

This past week I was able to "score" tickets to the games in Kansas City and St. Louis. Well I didn't really score the tickets - I went on to their websites and bought them - but scoring tickets sounds so much cooler than saying I bought them from stlouiscards.com. Scoring tickets sounds like I secretly met Guido the Killer Ticket Scalper in a dark alley to "obtain" the tickets. Any time you can get a Risky Business reference in a blog is a winner. Maybe one day we can get Rebecca De Morney (her adult film star name could have been Rebecca Makes me Hornee) to be the guest blogger. I think her career has sunk to the "Guest Blogger on Bobby D's Blog" stage.

The next really big deal was that I finally got the tattoo I have been planning since last September. I decided on the concept and met this really cool tattoo artist (I think all tattoo artists should be really cool, but are not) Josh who took my concept and went with it. Props to Josh and Bob's Tattoo Shop in Raymond, NH.

A few other random thoughts:

- Luv the my new iphone with one exception - it is very hard to text on it while driving 85 mph on I-95. This is the only thing Blackberry has over iphone. That should be their marketing statedgy - "Blackberry - for fast driving textors all over the world". Is it texters or textors? Personally I like textors. Sorry got a little Andy Rooney on you there.

- this past week we also have been assigning Indian names to people. Don't ask how that started - never ask how strange stuff like that happens. Just realize that it does and go with it. I will not say who the people are behind the names, just list a few of the more creative ones. I am "Talks with Stories". We also have "Run with Papers", "Showers with Parents" and last but not least "Cheats on (almost) weekly polls". I guess living in AZ these past fews months I have come in touch with my inner Indian.

Well I have bored you enough with my senseless dribble. The home office in Libetyville, IL still hasn't come up with a catchy ending phrase - so for now it's good bye, so long until next time - this is Booby D signing off from West "By God" Virginia where the mountains have mammas according to John "Flys on Empty Tank" Denver.
